We have a good programme including Fr John Udris on spiritual guidance and a Head of Student services on dealing with sudden death. As always, the most valuable part of the conference is the opportunity to share experience, both with formal sessions and in all the informal conversation that goes on. I do hope many chaplains will be able to join us.

We had 4 very good regional meetings last term and the SW chaplains meet in Bristol on May 2nd.

I hope the rest of the academic year goes well.

Taize Weeks

Some Catholic chaplains take groups to Taize, sometimes as part of an ecumenical chaplaincy group. It can be a life-changing experience for young people to go there, but for many students there is not a chaplaincy group going. Two of our ecumenical colleagues, Andrew Goodman (Bedfordshire, Luton campus) and Ruth Maxey(Keele) have set up a group which groups or individual students can join to plan to visit Taize in the weeks beginning 16th and 23rd June. I'll bring some flyers to the regional meetings for information go to http://groupspaces.com/taize/item/172826 or download a brochure bit.ly/taizebrochure2012
