The National Coordinator is Sister Teresa
Kennedy, PBVM. She was appointed Coordinator in
September 2007 having spent the previous six
years as Chaplaincy Coordinator with the
University of Derby, Buxton.
The National Coordinator is appointed as a full
time post to be a resource person for chaplains,
providing regular exchange of information about
good practice and opportunities for initial and
ongoing training
General support and encouragement is offered to all chaplains through personal contact, visiting and regional gatherings.
The National Coordinator helps facilitate suitable ecumenical and interfaith dimensions of chaplaincy locally and nationally and is available to advise bishops and universities on matters relating to staffing, organisation and running of chaplaincies.
