The National Co-ordinator is Mrs Roberta Canning.
Roberta was appointed in September 2010. She was University Catholic Chaplain at Bangor University from 2002 to 2007 and has been associate Catholic Chaplain at Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge Campus since 2008. She came to university chaplaincy from a background as an Open University tutor, parish catechist and youth leader and CAFOD volunteer.
The National Co-ordinator is appointed as a part time post to be a resource for chaplains, providing regular exchange of information about good practice and opportunities for initial and ongoing training.

General support is offered to all chaplains through personal contact, visiting and regional gatherings.

The National Co-ordinator helps facilitate suitable ecumenical and multi-faith dimensions of chaplaincy, locally and national and is available to advise bishops and universities on matters relating to staffing and organisation of chaplaincies.
