Roberta was appointed in September 2010. She was University Catholic Chaplain at Bangor University from 2002 to 2007 and was associate Catholic Chaplain at Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge Campus from 2008 to 2013.

Roberta came to university chaplaincy from a background as an Open University tutor, parish catechist, and youth leader, as well as CAFOD volunteer.

National Coordinator role:

The National Co-ordinator is appointed as a part-time post to be a resource for chaplains, providing regular exchange of information about good practice and opportunities for initial and ongoing training.

General support is offered to all chaplains through personal contact, visiting and regional gatherings.

The National Coordinator helps facilitate suitable ecumenical and multi-faith dimensions of chaplaincy, locally and nationally and is available to advise bishops and universities on matters relating to staffing and organisation of chaplaincies.

There are many who seek knowledge for the sake of knowledge: that is curiosity. There are others who desire to know in order that they may themselves be known: that is vanity. Others seek knowledge in order to sell it: that is dishonourable. But there are some who seek knowledge in order to edify others: that is love.
